We’ve all heard numerous stories about the demise of Milwaukee as an industrial hub. But things are looking up with folks bringing jobs back to Milwaukee and the growth of many truly local manufacturers like Lakefront Brewery and Indulgence Chocolatiers.
Still, we could learn a thing or two from what is going on in San Francisco. In this Atlantic Cities piece, we learned about a new nonprofit, SF Made, formed to bring local manufacturers together as a community. The organization provides its membership of nearly 200 individuals and companies, resources and assistance on everything from supply chain analysis to lease negotiations.
