We’ve all heard numerous stories about the demise of Milwaukee as an industrial hub.¬†But things are looking up with folks bringing jobs back to Milwaukee and the growth of many truly local manufacturers like Lakefront Brewery and Indulgence Chocolatiers.

Still, we could learn a thing or two from what is going on in San Francisco. In this Atlantic Cities piece, we learned about a new nonprofit, SF Made, formed to bring local manufacturers together as a community. The organization provides its membership of nearly 200 individuals and companies, resources and assistance on everything from supply chain analysis to lease negotiations.
